Our pupils recently took part in a wonderful project celebrating the many languages spoken across Sheffield. The school welcomed Sabine, a professor of multilingualism from the University of Sheffield, who introduced children to a creative initiative exploring language, culture and identity.
Pupils contributed to a ‘quilt of welcome’ — a collaborative artwork featuring the diverse languages represented in their school and wider community. This beautiful piece will soon travel to London to be displayed, sharing the voices, stories and pride of Meynell’s children with a wider audience.
